Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- THE HERITAGE INSTITUTION has added yet another achievement to its highly embellished credit by becoming the only college in Guru Nanak Dev University to be sanctioned ‘Deen Dayal Upadhaya Kaushal Kendra’ which is Skill Development and Training centre scheme of Govt. of India to ensure employability and empower youth. It is estimated that by 2025, India will have 25% of the world’s total workforce. In order to harness the full demographic dividend, India needs high quality educational system which is affordable, flexible and relevant to the individuals as well as to the needs of the society as a whole. Today the country faces a demand-supply mismatch as the economy needs more skilled workforce in our nation and have youth who are employable as they finish college education. The noble intent of Kaushal Kendra is to create more skilled workforce. Kaushal stands for Knowledge Acquisition and Upgradation of Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood and Deen Dayal Upadhaya Kaushal Kendras were established for universities and colleges in 2014. It was competitive to get selected for these courses. Only 48 colleges have been selected out of 708 applicants. A 4.15 crore grant has been sanctioned for running these courses to KMV. Courses :
The minimum qualification for pursuing this is 10+2 and it is open for all age groups. Gap year is no deterrent.
