Golden Opportunity for Sportswomen

     

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar's Physical Education Department is going to conduct sports trials. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the trials will be conducted at the college ground for various sports namely Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Softball, Athletics, Basket ball, Football, Handball, Kabaddi, Cricket, Water Sports, Judo, Karate, Wushu & Taekwondo. It is worth a mention here that the college will also provide free education, boarding, lodging & transport facilities etc. to the outstanding players. The verification of original certificates will be done on the spot. It is important to mention that KMV has produced various national and international players from different sports. Recently, KMV's Hira Kumari has been selected in Indian Women Softball team to represent India in Asian Women Softball Championship 2019 that is scheduled to held in Jakarta, Indonesia, Rajni has won silver medal in Federation Cup & also the bronze medal in Senior National Soft Ball Championship, Ramandeep has won Bronze medal in Senior National Soft Ball, 6 girls from KMV have also participated in All India Inter-University Championship namely Sushmita, Rajni, Ramandeep, Yuvika, Parkash Kaur & Hira for Baseball. KMV team of Volleyball, Kho-Kho & Handball has won Gold medal in Jalandhar District Championship & Rajni, Ramandeep & Sushmita were the winners in North Zone Soft Ball. Madam Principal further maintained that the players also avail a lot from state of the art infrastructure comprising Gymnasium, Health Club, Swimming Pool and sprawling play grounds. There are achievements galore by the KMV sports stars as they are given the best of training and grooming. The sports stars participate in many intervarsity, state, national & international level competitions and it is raining gold & silver round the year for the sportswomen. She concluded that these trials will provide a golden opportunity for selected sportswomen to excel.
