K.M.V Gandhian Studies Centre pays glowing tribute to Mahatama Gandhi on his birth anniversary

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar Gandhian Studies Centre organized various programmes to celebrate the birth anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi. For the past one decade the Gandhian Studies Centre has been committed in transmitting the Gandhian Philosophy among the masses. Through its various programmes like Conferences, workshops, publications, competitions, literacy drive in villages and women empowerment initiatives. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi started the year long celebrations to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of the father of the nation, by paying floral tributes and by inaugurating another batch of free vocational training courses offered by the centre in basic computers, fashion designing and cosmetology. On this occasion the students sang patriotic songs and favorite bhajans of Gandhi Ji. The whole ambience resounded with Gandhian spirit and also created an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Addressing the students she emphasized on the need to adhere to the Gandhian Philosophy of peace and non violence, in this violent world. She appreciated the efforts of the Gandhian studies centre and encouraged the faculty and students to continue working in the Gandhian ideology.
